July 2024 brings intriguing forecasts for electric vehicle sales in the Chinese market. Deutsche Bank reveals optimistic estimates for brands like Nio, Xpeng, BYD, and Tesla.
Deutsche Bank Estimates
According to Deutsche Bank, Nio is expected to sell 21,000 units, Xpeng will reach 10,000 vehicles sold, and Chinese giant BYD is anticipated to achieve up to 300,000 electric vehicle sales. Tesla is projected to hit the 45,000 mark while Li Auto is expected to sell 48,000 units. Zeekr also shows promise with an estimated 15,000 vehicle sales.
Growth in Employment at BYD
Apart from sales success, BYD is also experiencing significant growth in employment. The company announced that by the end of 2023, it had reached a total workforce of 703,504 employees. This includes 524,673 manufacturing workers and 104,003 technicians. This growth is bolstered by the arrival of over 10,000 fresh graduates, nearly 80% of whom are focused on research and development (R&D).
