Porsche has announced that the new 2025 Taycan model achieves an EPA range of up to 318 miles (511 km). This impressive figure is made possible by the larger Performance Battery Plus, which now offers up to 105 kWh gross capacity—an approximately 15% increase in capacity compared to the previous model.
Rapid Charging
All 2025 Taycan models can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes using DC fast charging. This significant improvement allows drivers to spend less time at charging stations and more time on the road.
Efficiency and Performance
The new Taycan not only improves battery capacity but also overall drive efficiency. Porsche has focused on optimizing regenerative braking energy, enhancing aerodynamics, and reducing rolling resistance. Thanks to these modifications, the 2025 model boasts nearly a 30% increase in range compared to the previous year.
Model Variants
The 2025 Taycan is available in several versions. With the smaller Performance Battery, it has a range of up to 274 miles (441 km), which exceeds last year's larger battery model. Models like the Taycan 4S achieve a range of 295 miles (475 km), while the higher-performance Taycan Turbo offers a range of 292 miles (470 km).
Thermal Management Innovations
Porsche has also revamped the thermal management system for the 2025 Taycan. The new model features a more powerful air conditioning compressor with an 800-volt rating, and the heat pump is now fully utilized for interior heating, contributing to higher range even in colder conditions.
