Rivian

Rivian, the American electric vehicle manufacturer, has finalized a $6.6 billion loan agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy to support the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Georgia. The plant will produce the next-generation R2 SUV and R3 crossover, create over 7,500 jobs, and strengthen U.S. leadership in electric mobility.

Rivian has secured a $6.6 billion conditional loan from the DOE to build a new electric vehicle plant in Georgia, expected to produce 400,000 vehicles annually.

Volkswagen and Rivian announce a $5.8 billion strategic partnership to develop advanced electrical architecture and software systems for electric vehicles. The joint venture will enable remote updates and support future models like the Rivian R2 in 2026 and Volkswagen models in 2027.
